KCK Street Fest - Rewind!

Last Friday's Street Fest was a huge success! I got out and took a few pictures just before my camera battery died. I didn't get any pics of the bands and there was a lot of other stuff I missed, too. If you were there and have pics you'd like posted, send them along and I'd be happy to share!

After a 4 pm Mass, the St. John's Catholic Club sponsors a Croatian Day Picnic on the Strawberry Hill Museum grounds, 4th Street and Barnett. Free admission, with food and drinks, raffles and dancing. Music by the Don Lipovic Band, Hrvatski Obicaj and Tamburitzans.

Wyandotte County marks its 150th anniversary this year with a major celebration at the Wyandotte County Historical Museum, 631 N. 126th Street, Bonner Springs. The celebration features ethnic dancers, music, a magic show, 1850s performances, and fireworks. Call the museum for more information- 913-573-5002.

KCK Arts Network Website


The KCK Arts Network is getting a website! Eventually this site will include directories of KCK artists and art venues, events listings, artist opportunities, and more. For now, there is information about the big June 12th Street Fest which is FREE and open to the public and will include artist vendors, local food, street performers and live music plus more.

Visual artists, you have until tomorrow to sign-up to display at the street fest... participation is free of charge! Details can be found on the KCK Arts Network website.
